Summary of the story :

There was once a Czar who thought he was the cleverest person in Russia. One day, he met a farmer on the road. He asked the farmer for some bread and liked it. He found out about the farmer's daughter, Katya who baked the bread. He wanted to know more about Katya. The farmer boasted that she was the cleverest girl in Russia. The Czar felt challenged and vowed to come back to challenge her. The Czar put Katya through a series of test to prove her cleverness. The Czar was happy with her and asked her to marry him. She agreed on the condition that the Czar will allow her to take a thing she loved best in the palace if he ever get fed up with her and send her back home. For a year they lived happily. One day they quarrelled and the Czar sent her home. When the Czar was asleep, Katya put him in a big chest and took it along to her father's house. When the Czar woke up, he was very angry that Katya kidnapped him. She reminded him about his promise that she can keep the thing she loved best in the palace and that was the Czar himself. The Czar was very happy and agreed with the farmer that Katya was indeed the cleverest person in Russia. He promised not to send her away again and they lived happily ever after.


The part I like the most :I like the ending of the story when the Czar agreed with the farmer that Katya was indeed the cleverest person in Russia andthey lived happily ever after.

What I learn from the story : A clever person will go far.
